Mount Timpanogos Hike Details

Mount Timpanogos is one of the most well-known hikes in the Salt Lake Area. It's a mighty peak that runs along the border between Utah and Salt Lake counties . The hike will take most of the day for hikers in average physical condition. Those in great shape can likely do the whole thing in around 5-7 hours. If you haven't done any strenuous exercise recently, this might not be the hike for you. The hike can be described in three sections: The Woods: The first third of the hike consists of switchbacks through the woods as you slowly go up the mountain. Depending on the time of year, you may have to cross some small, shallow streams of melting snow water. The Meadow:  When you reach a certain elevation, the the trees start to thin out and you reach a large meadow. You'll enjoy hundreds of thousands of wildflowers. Popular late night TV host Jimmy Fallon posted on Instagram about his recent family ski trip to Deer Valley, Utah. Jimmy seemed to have a wonderful time with his family conquering the slopes of one of Utah’s best ski resorts in Park City, Utah. Have you ever wondered why so many celebrities have chosen Utah as their go-to ski locations? Perhaps it’s Utah’s skiing history or the fact that Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics . Utah is beautiful in all four seasons, so maybe they choose Utah as a skiing location because they are visiting Utah at other times of year as well. If you’d like to visit Park City, Utah to ski just like Jimmy Fallon, consider riding with a shared Utah ski shuttle service that can take you from the Salt Lake Airport to Park City.
