Mount Timpanogos Hike Details
Mount Timpanogos is one of the most well-known hikes in the Salt Lake Area. It's a mighty peak that runs along the border between Utah and Salt Lake counties . The hike will take most of the day for hikers in average physical condition. Those in great shape can likely do the whole thing in around 5-7 hours. If you haven't done any strenuous exercise recently, this might not be the hike for you. The hike can be described in three sections: The Woods: The first third of the hike consists of switchbacks through the woods as you slowly go up the mountain. Depending on the time of year, you may have to cross some small, shallow streams of melting snow water.
