Salt Lake City One of Two Finalists for Future Winter Olympics Bid
It has been widely reported this week that the Reno-Tahoe area has withdrawn their potential Winter Olympics bid, leaving just Salt Lake City and Denver as the United States' chosen city to use to bid for the 2030 games. Salt Lake City hosted the Olympics in 2002. While some renovation would surely be needed, the fact that the majority of the facilities are still in place is very promising. The facilities are located across the Wasatch Front and in Park City, UT. Yesterday, U.S. Olympic officials toured many of the facilities. They will likely decide between Salt Lake City and Denver within the next few weeks.
