Snow Keeps Falling In Utah

Every sports team from Utah won their respective games yesterday. BYU football, Utah Football, Utah State Football, and Real Salt Lake soccer all won.

Utah is known for excellence on so many levels. From college and professional sports to having the greatest snow on Earth, it's truly a remarkable place to live and travel to.

Most importantly, snow fell in almost all mountainous areas along the Wasatch Front. White goodness covers the peaks and slopes. Fall is more than half-way over, and soon it will be winter in Utah.

The valleys received snow for most of the day, but the mountains received snow. If you are in Utah right now, look outside and you will most likely see snow up on the mountains. It's a beautiful time of year!

If you'll be traveling to Utah, consider riding with a ride service to Alta resort or shuttle service up Little Cottonwood Canyon. You won't regret choosing a transportation service like that. Of course, this is just one of the many things that you'll need to figure out before your trip to Utah. Lodging and dining are other things. The point being, make sure you plan out the details so that you can make the most of your trip.

What to Expect with Utah's Weather this Week

On Monday, February 3rd of last week, we experienced the biggest snowfall of the year in Utah. It shut down many schools and government agencies. The storm dropped nearly a foot of snow onto Utah's valley floors. Usually the state only gets 2-3 storms like this each year. Fortunately, this has made life wonderful for people who love to ski in Utah. The snowpack up in the mountains is strong. There are still several weeks left to  ski in Utah . Of course, snowboarders can still have their fun on the slopes as well. The weather this week in Utah will be different. Expect  sunny but cold weather  with a lot of wind. The sun will be strong enough to melt most of the snow in the valleys, with the exception of piles of snow that have been plowed into the corners of parking lots. If you want to try to help reduce the traffic in Utah's mountain roads this winter, try the following: Carpool Take the Ski Bus Take a Ski Shuttle Ski Earlier in the Season As Utah's population grows and as the popularity of  skiing in Utah  also increases, traffic in Utah's canyons will only get worse and worse. Discussions are underway among Utah's decision makers about what to to resolve the traffic issues in Big Cottonwood Canyon and  Little Cottonwood Canyon. One of the main things you can do to reduce your traffic footprint in the canyons is to take a  shared shuttle service from the SLC airport to Little Cottonwood Canyon ski resorts , especially if you'll be flying in from out of state.
